Marin Catholic CA sophomore Samantha Wallenstrom won the elite section of the girls 1,600 meters at the 12th Dublin Distance Fiesta at Dublin High. Wallenstrom ran the fastest sophomore time in meet history, clocking a personal-best 4:59.38 to secure an automatic berth to compete April 5-6 at the Arcadia Invitational at Arcadia High. Wallenstrom lowered her best time from her freshman season by more than 10 seconds.
